We are now just THREE months away from boarding a plane to Papua New Guinea! Our applications are completed, fundraising is underway, our travel itinerary & travel insurance are being finalized, and we are prayerfully awaiting PNG Visa approval. PLEASE continue to keep us in prayer - specifically that we can raise the necessary funds (still about $2,800 shy of our goal), and for expedited approval of the Visa. Dearest Readers, Family, and Friends, In the event you have not yet heard, Rachel and I are excited to announce we will be returning to Papua New Guinea in March & April 2020! We will be bringing Penniella and Solomon with us, and can't WAIT to introduce them to our beloved Kudjip missionary family and many Highlands friends. Since returning from serving 2014-2015 in PNG, God has blessed us with a beautiful home in Richmond VA, my employment with a phenomenal Pediatric practice (PAHP), two wonderful children, and God continues to enrich our lives with many opportunities to serve the Kingdom through our church (WEAG).
The call to missions has not left our hearts, and the Lord has opened many doors to serving as missionaries in our Richmond community - Rachel leading worship at our church and serving a local homeless ministry (CARITAS), my serving at a local Christian free clinic (Crossover) and going abroad on short term medical mission trips, and we have remained very active in the Marriage and Small Groups Ministries, leading a Bible study in our home, and facilitating premarital counseling. Over the last year, I have renegotiated the contract with my Pediatric practice to permit up to 3 months every other year in the mission field. Praise GOD!!! Our first opportunity to begin this missions journey will be returning to PNG for 6 weeks in March-April 2020. This trip not only serves our hearts desire to return to the PNG Highlands we love, but it will also utilize leftover funds from our last trip. Your financial support was purposed for our service in PNG, so our return trip honors that gift. We hope you are as EXCITED as we are about the Lord providing this opportunity to continue serving Him in the World's most needy places. Please keep us in prayer as we have many steps to complete the process:
THANK YOU for partnering with us, and we look forward to once again taking you with us to PNG! Regular updates and pictures will be provided on THIS BLOG. Please have a look around and sign-up to get our posts via e-mail.
